Following the Vault of Glass raid which had gone live on Tuesday, Bungie has detailed Combined Arms and The Queen’s Wrath for Destiny, today. These two events had previously been teased by the studio and today, Combined Arms has been made available. Combined Arms is a purely vehicular combat mode in the Crucibles PVP (player vs. player) arena. Vehicles’ are rare in most PVP maps, but this event is all about riding around in Pikes, and driving huge, hulking, rocket-firing inceptors....

But that’s not to say that a lot of work isn’t going into the Crackdown 3 story. On Twitter, Joseph Staten, who has written for both Destiny and Halo 2, as well as writing the New York Times bestselling novel Halo: Contact Harvest, confirmed that he is now working on Crackdown 3. Staten, who is also the creative director of Microsoft Studios Global Publishing, confirmed that he “got to do a little [Crackdown 3] writing yesterday” and that he is set to visit the game’s UK-based development team....

Besides announcements that fan-favorites like Gjallarhorn and Thorn exotics are coming back, fans have had to piece together footage to what they suspect to be new additions to Destiny’s highest tier weapon class. With a bevy of footage out now, many keen-eyed fans are finding hints to those weapons players can expect. With the first exotic, fans have only a name to go by. IGN posted a video that showed off some of the new Ornaments, which fans can use to customize the appearance of armor and select exotics with new skins....

With that being the case, Destiny: Rise of Iron’s fans ought to delight in the recent discovery from the YouTuber known as TheAssyrianGamer who has found that the expansion’s Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow holds a little Easter egg all its own. While it’s definitely not earth shattering in any sense, as it has no impact on the gameplay, it’s safe to say that Guardians will come away impressed by Bungie’s attention to detail....

Nevertheless, the Destiny train marches on undeterred, which means a new week of running Nightfall Strikes, tackling Skolas in Prison of Elders, and anxiously awaiting the return of Xur, Agent of the Nine. After a very solid showing from Xur last week, players are likely riding high, and more importantly they are that much closer to completing their exotic armor selection. All that’s left are a few of the new House of Wolves exotic armor pieces, and many will have a complete set for all three classes....

This week, Xur returns to his old stomping grounds, the Tower, after a brief stint in the secret room on the Reef. Destiny players will find Xur right next to the Crucible Quartermaster. Head forward right after spawning into the Tower, down the stairs, and Xur should be on the left. Once players arrive at Xur, Warlocks will be especially happy to see he has a new House of Wolves exotic armor piece on sale....

A Destiny 2 fireteam made up of just three players (Gladd, ITS IRON, and Sweatcicle) has successfully managed to beat the Pleasure Gardens section, saying that the challenge wasn’t “difficult” either. One member of the fireteam named Gladd explains that “You get a x5 stack per spore with two people. We decided to grab a x40 buff for the DPS phase. This require a collection of eight spores within about 2....

Atlas Skew in Divalian - Rheasilvia Path, Lower Cliffside Following the order of the Atlas Skews in the Tracing the Stars quest, the first one is found in the Divalian Mists area of the Dreaming City. Players should take their Sparrow out and follow the path up until the cliffside to the north. The first Atlas Skew is found on a small rocky ledge that players might remember from the Small Gift Destiny 2 quest back in Forsaken....

One of the newer Lost Sectors to join this rotation is the Concealed Void Lost Sector. This particular Lost Sector appeared with the arrival of Europa as a destination in the Director. It can be found near the glacial plates that make up the Asterion Abyss region on Europa. To easily find the entrance to this Lost Sector, make your way toward the center of the glacial plates in Asterion Abyss....

Starting with the pre-load details for Curse of Osiris, players will be able to download the expansion at 8 a.m. PST on December 5. That has drawn the ire of fans who are questioning the term pre-loading, considering it will be available for download on launch day shortly before what fans expect to be the actual time the DLC will go live. However, in a tweet from Community Manager DeeJ, it appears that Bungie will announce the official launch time of Curse of Osiris tomorrow, after planned maintenance....

How to Get 1000 Yard Stare in Destiny 2 Destiny 2 players are familiar with the current system of acquiring Destiny’s legendary weapons and gear. Most come as random drops from specific activities, and the 1000-Yard Stare is no different. Players can get the gun from the dungeon The Grasp of Avarice, a three-player activity that was introduced as part of Bungie’s anniversary. The sniper rifle comes from the chest at the end of the dungeon after the final boss, Captain Avorakk the Covetous, is defeated....

For Destiny 2 Season 5, Bungie has introduced The Mountaintop grenade launcher as the Crucible pinnacle weapon. A kinetic grenade launcher, The Mountaintop deviates from the mold by offering a projectile that fires in a straight line, almost like a missile. And as players have seen from Bungie’s preview of the pinnacle Season 5 weapons, The Mountaintop can do serious damage in the right hands. Here’s how to get it....

How to Sword Skate In order to sword skate Destiny 2 players need a sword with the Eager Edge perk on it, which at the moment only rolls on the 30th Anniversary Pack’s Half-Truths and The Other Half. Once players have such a sword, all they need to do to sword skate is to sprint forward, jump, swap weapons to the sword, and press the light or heavy attack button depending on how much momentum they want to gain....

Many of the weapons that were predicted to be competitive are indeed popular, although thanks to the weapon balancing that came in the update accompanying Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy, a new weapon class has soared to the top of the meta. In fact, Titans are granted access to their class-specific sword, the Crown Splitter, which deals massive amounts of damage with its heavy strike if combined with Energy Accelerant. While the sword can easily find its spot in this build, it doesn’t revolve around it. Destiny remains one of the most popular current-gen games since releasing last year with an estimated 2 billion hours having already been logged by players. Looking to continue on its success, Bungie is planning big updates to the experience, starting with Destiny: The Taken King. Gjallarhorn has been an elusive exotic weapon, sold only once during the entire lifespan of Destiny, but there’s always hope it might return. And what better time to bring back the best rocket launcher, and arguably best gun in Destiny, then for a special fireworks celebration....

Finding Xur should be no problem, as he’s in his usual bunker under the Tower hangar. This is still the most unique hiding spot Xur has appeared in, but unfortunately most know to check there by now. He may work in mysterious ways, but Xur is hardly original. That being said, Xur’s selection is completely new, boasting four previously unsold exotic armor pieces and weapons. As we mentioned at the top of the post, this is easily one of the best offerings Xur has ever had simply because there are no repeats....
