That being said, one thing seems pretty clear among the Destiny fan base: getting new gear and weapons is very important. The loot drops in the game have improved significantly since Destiny launched in September of last year, but there’s still a lot of randomness at play. Whether a rare item drops at the end of a mission or strike, or if something more valuable, like an exotic, drops can make all the difference....

First and foremost, Iron Banner will be live for all Destiny players starting on November 8th. With Destiny’s new 1-for-1 Infusion system coming into effect this coming Tuesday, it might be a good idea to pick up any exotics from Xur players don’t have. For most fans who probably already have Xur’s stock, there’s something else in his inventory that could be worth your coins. This week, Xur can be found in Tower North to the right of the Speaker. Once you spawn into the Tower, head left and take the tunnel to the north side of the Tower....

There have also been closer looks at new Rise of Iron for Destiny fans to analyze, as they try to figure out which to set their sights on. Obviously, the Wrath of the Machine raid gear will be one of the most sought after sets, but the Iron Lord and Trials gear doesn’t look too bad either. We would also be remiss for not mentioning this weekend’s Destiny Community Convention, which will take place in Tampa, Florida....

Xur’s Location and Exotic Armor This week, Destiny players can find Xur in the Vanguard section of the Tower, which is in its Eastern wing. Head directly straight after spawning into the Tower, follow the path past Eris and the Crucible vendors, and Xur will be in the back room to the right. This is the same room that houses the Vanguards for each of the three Destiny classes. Xur’s exotic armor selection this weekend includes the Twilight Garrison chest piece for Titans, the Don’t Touch Me gauntlets for Hunters, and the Voidfang Vestments chest piece for Warlocks....

Many players may have been surprised to not see a new class of enemies, indicated as the Veil in the numerous leaks over the past few months. While it’s possible the Darkness specific enemies are still on the way, the Beyond Light expansion sees players go up against a new Fallen Baroness called Eramis. She’s not a new villain, even if this is her first true appearance. Eramis is a figure who has been mentioned quite a bit, intertwined with major Fallen characters like Mithrax, Variks, and even Skolas....

Destiny 2 players may have noticed that their Clan XP engram – the powerful reward granted for contributing 5,000 XP towards your clan – was not dropping respective to their current power level. Bungie was quick to point out that this was “not working as intended” but at the time did not have a solution. The hope was that today’s hot fix, which removed the Heroic Strike Playlist bug among other things, would also fix this issue, but that was not the case....

This Destiny 2 exotic linear fusion rifle is extremely powerful in Gambit for several reasons. One reason is it can reliably one-shot an enemy invader while the invader is using their super. This makes it a great tool for both invading and dispatching the invaders. It also excels when players invade the enemy team because it has insane range and can shoot other guardians from across the map. Most players in Gambit right now will see Sleeper Simulant all over the place....

Luke Smith, Destiny 2’s game director, says that there are multiple layers of storytelling in Destiny 2, and that importantly, it will be easy for the player to follow: Smith goes onto say that the main narrative of the game tells the story of the Red War. It’s what has been shown in the trailers so far and sets up the tale of the Cabal, led by Dominus Ghaul, taking the Last City and stripping the Guardians of their Light and powers....
