This is arguably one of the more exciting endgame activities included in House of Wolves, and so players were appropriately eager to find out more. Reports that there was a bug in the Izanagi’s Burden questline started appearing shortly after Shadowkeep’s launch. Redditor nziel6486 posted to Reddit two weeks ago that they were unable to find the way to mold the 4th Black Forge key, a quest that should have been available from NPC Ada-1. Multiple other users also confirmed that they couldn’t pick up this quest step. The bug seemed immediately apparent, but it’s taken Bungie weeks to confirm....

The first chest is after the first encounter and maze jumping puzzle. There are a few different routes that Destiny 2 players can take, and it is recommended to have a sword to be able to do a little bit of sword gliding (using the sword’s attack animation in the air to move horizontally through the air) to get to the alcove where the chest can be found. What are Calus Tokens? One element of the raid that is not made clear at the outset is the Calus Token, which drops from chests at the end of each section and those found in the Leviathan’s complex underbelly. Calus Tokens are players’ path to more raid loot beyond what drops from completing each section, and they are extremely valuable. There is just a catch. Calus Tokens, like any of the Tokens in Destiny 2, are given to a vendor in exchange for reputation....

In a move that came as a surprise, Bungie delayed this fall’s Shadowkeep expansion by two weeks, pushing its release date to October 1st. As they learned with the release of House of Wolves, Destiny players will feed on any morsel Bungie chooses to release, no matter if it’s a bite-sized reveal or a fully-fledged walkthrough. For this week, Bungie was set to give players a closer look at one of the new strikes included with Destiny: The Taken King called ‘Shield Brothers....

Chief among them Bungie talked about helping make primary weapons more viable, and in turn lessening the reliance on shotguns in Destiny. As it stands right now, if a player doesn’t have a solid shotgun in Destiny PvP, then they are at a serious disadvantage. Time to kill with primaries is too slow and there is little that can be done to combat a rusher with a Matador 64, outside of using one yourself....

It was an honest mistake, but the news exploded on Twitter, YouTube, and some news outlets before Activision was able to tweet out the correction: Destiny’s developer, Bungie, had previously announced earlier this year that Age of Triumph was the last piece of content that Destiny 1 would receive. So it clearly rattled fans when the statement made by Activision’s CFO sounded like more was coming. It wasn’t a hard leap of logic to make considering Bungie’s history in adding minor content updates ahead of major DLC releases, such as the Blades of Crota suddenly spawning in public spaces ahead of The Dark Below or Petra Venj appearing in the Tower with bounties just before the release of House of Wolves....

Of course, with these updates often comes some additional content, and with each new large-scale expansion that Bungie adds to the game, a new raid is also added. Destiny 2’s raids are designed for six highly-skilled players, who all have excellent gear, and are looking for the game’s greatest challenge. Teamwork is essential, and communication is key. Destiny 2 has had a history of raids, with nine in total being playable over the last four years....
