Fortunately for those players working to reach the top, a new source of Pinnacle gear has recently been added through Staying Alive, a raid challenge in Shadowkeep’s Garden of Salvation. Raid Challenges are special objectives that can completed within a raid for an increased reward, in this case Pinnacle gear, in return for keeping specific enemies alive. How to Get Started The Staying Alive challenge can be completed so long as the Leftovers modifier is active in the raid, a new system that’s a real improvement over the old method of going to find Hawthorne and acquiring the Challenge manually....

While discussing the new Seasonal Artifact item, Smith said that Seasonal Artifacts would help Destiny 2 give players another path to power in Shadowkeep even if they don’t want to play “the raid, Iron Banner, or the [REDACTED]”. In his post, Smith redacts the name of whatever activity is coming in Shadowkeep. Speaking to PC Gamer, Destiny 2 game director Luke Smith characterized Shadowkeep as similar in scale to the original Destiny’s final expansion. Rise of Iron was the fourth of Destiny’s expansions, following up the major Taken King “comet” expansion and bringing the storyline of the original game to a conclusion. As such, Rise of Iron wasn’t as big of an expansion as Taken King, but more akin to Destiny 2’s first two expansions, Dark Below and House of Wolves....

The first straw poll came from the Republican State Committee’s Central Caucus on January 15. Oz and other Republican Senate candidates met with GOP state committee members in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, before the poll for a question and answer session. Afterward, the straw poll was held, with more than 100 votes cast. Oz, who Politico reported has spent $5.4 million on TV ads, received only one vote. In two other straw polls of state committee members this past weekend, Oz placed third in one and fourth in the other....

The fact is, though, that changes often are forced in the international game. The Iron Banner has long been a staple endgame activity for Destiny’s PvP, dating as far back as the Destiny 1 Public Beta in July 2014. Throughout both Destiny and Destiny 2’s lifecycle, the Iron Banner has taken place every month, lasting for one week and promising exclusive Iron Banner themed gear and weapons to those with a high enough Power Level to compete. Iron Banner was in its prime during the final year of Destiny 1 but has struggled to recapture that same magic in Destiny 2....

Earlier this week Bungie said the developer saved the best of Destiny’s armor for last, and after seeing it many fans would agree. Age of Triumph will bring newly designed armor sets for each of the returning raids (Vault of Glass, Crota’s End, King’s Fall) as well as a new set for the current raid, Wrath of the Machine. All of the raid armor features Ornaments, which will be earned by completing Challenge Modes in the weekly featured raid....

While The Taken King and its patches have brought a freshness to Trials of Osiris, there are some who are up to old tricks. As with any game, some players always look for a leg up, even if it means cheating. Destiny is no different, and Trials of Osiris brings them out like nothing else in the game. But Bungie was quick to fire back, letting the Destiny community know that the banhammer is being swung with full force....

Although there was one successful hacker attack on the Destiny servers last month, the game launched relatively smoothly in comparison to other always online projects (such as Diablo 3 or SimCity). After the PS4 Destiny community spoke out about new sign-in issues late last night and early this morning, Bungie took to Twitter to explain that the studio is on the case. No details have been released about the cause of the sign-in errors, but it seems possible that the issue is related to today’s PS4 system update....

Players generally responded well to Destiny’s new mode, and it’s almost certain that Bungie will bring it back for another limited time run in future (especially because it appears that no major DLC will drop in Year Two and Bungie will use events like these to keep its players coming back). But when Sparrow Racing does return, we hope that Bungie takes some of these suggestions into consideration. That isn’t to say Xur is a bad vendor, but after months of visiting Destiny’s Tower with exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine’s stock has begun to lack variety. Veteran players still flock to Xur to see if he might have something new, like Gjallarhorn, but it’s rare now that he does. That will soon change, however, when Xur’s exotic selection and loot table are bolstered by an influx of new gear with Destiny: The Taken King....

The latest Steam charts (as spotted by ResetEra members) show that the Deluxe Edition of Beyond Light has generated the most revenue of any game on the digital storefront this week, while the bundle containing both the expansion and its season pass generated the second most. Impressively, Beyond Light even managed to snag a third spot on the latest top 10 best-sellers, with the regular version taking seventh place....

During the summer, Destiny 2: Beyond Light was delayed by 6 weeks which put it into the launch window of many other flagship titles. With Destiny 2’s week 6 of a total of 13 weeks in the season just wrapping up, fans are about halfway through the Season of the Splicer content. As the story to this point has been defined by corruption and intrigue, the kit sent out to content creators is fittingly mysterious. Details regarding the second expansion for Destiny 2 appeared very briefly on the US PlayStation Store and thanks to some quick-thinking Reddit users, the information has been preserved in a screenshot.
