While many players were surprised and even a bit disappointed to learn that the expansion wouldn’t contain a new Raid, there’s a number of new features which should help fill that void. One such feature is the Trials of Osiris mode which introduces a new crucible experience to the game called Elimination where two teams of three battle it out without respawns....

In fact, the DLC surpassed day one sales records of previous add-ons for PlayStation consoles, and it’s likely that the successes will continue to roll in for the studio should they pay close attention to the dedicated community of Destiny players. One of the best ways for the studio to remain engaged and keep its fan base in the loop will definitely come by way of their week to week bulletins for the action-RPG....

More importantly, Bungie has helped spread their content out, keeping players guessing as to when a new secret quest or piece of gear might pop up out of nowhere. For example, no one knew the Black Spindle was going to be such a challenging weapon to obtain, but for a solid 24-hour period it had everyone’s attention. However, as players seek out new exotic quests – like the Sleeper Simulant – there is still the sense that so much of Destiny’s exotic selection is being kept hidden....

Following on last week’s introduction of exotic upgrades, excitement for Xur has returned. He may had a repeat rocket launcher in Truth, but this was the new, higher attack power version. And the same was true of his armor options, which included one DLC piece for Titans, and higher defense power items for the other two classes. This week, Xur can be found right across from The Speaker, in front of the giant door-looking structure....

New exotics have been added to Xur’s loot pool, and fans will no doubt be hankering for some of them to make them into his items for the week (just as he brought last week). This week is not for those fans; however, for anyone new to the game with the launch of Rise of Iron, theses are some of the best exotics for each class. And all are very useful for use in the Crucible, which could be good especially with the return of Trials of Osiris this weekend and Iron Banner next week....

Regarding the Destiny 2 PvP experience when compared to the original, Bakken said, “This experience is going to be way more understandable, way more consistent, way more learnable than anything we’ve done in the past.” The issue with 6-versus-6 in Destiny, as Bakken puts it, is that the complexity of the heroes made it hard for players to know what might happen in a fight, since all the special powers each hero could have made for an unpredictable fight....

When Beyond Light launches next month, Destiny 2 players will be greeted with a vastly different game. Earlier today, a lot more information relating to Destiny 2’s Crimson Days leaked on the game’s official subreddit, which resulted in Cozmo23 stepping forward to acknowledge that the rumors were indeed true in regards to the event’s return. However, the Bungie Community Manager stopped short at confirming what information in the leak is accurate, as he instead stated that the studio will openly discuss Crimson Days soon. The first step to unlocking the Black Armory key requires the previous steps of the Mysterious Box be finished, specifically, collecting the Butterfly Key, Fishhook Key, and Hand Key. As expected, Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy will start on March 10. It will kick things off with a new PvE activity in the form of the Seraph Tower Event, which will give players the chance to get new legendary weapons and armor for their arsenal. Then on March 13, fans can jump into the long-awaited return of the Trials of Osiris, which will be live in the game every weekend and like the Seraph Tower Event, feature exclusive rewards for players that participate....
