Because Vault of Glass is a returning Destiny Raid, it has already had a World’s First Raid Race, and so Bungie is changing how this second World’s First Vault of Glass Raid Race will work. The goal is to make the Raid Race Challenging as a returning raid, but to also pay respect to the original Fireteam that accomplished World’s First when Vault of Glass originally launched on Destiny in 2014....
One-Eyed Mask (Titan) First up is One-Eyed Mask, the popular Titan exotic that has been a point of confusion for Destiny 2 players for quite some time. When exactly pre-loading will go live on October 18th is unclear, but those who bought the game digitally should keep their eyes on Blizzard’s Battle.net, where Destiny 2 will exclusively launch on PC. Physical copies, or rather physical download codes, are not affected by this issue. Pre-loading will allow players to download the 68GB game files ahead of time, and in turn clear up the servers on launch day. The Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion has now been officially confirmed, but the Google Stadia Connect event also confirmed something more. In addition to Shadowkeep, Bungie is developing another Annual Pass to follow up the expansion. No details are yet available on the Shadowkeep Annual Pass, but Bungie’s if it’s like Forsaken’s there should be at least three quarterly DLC packs filled with both PvE and PvP content including raids, weapons, and new game modes....
The gauntlet itself is gifted to Destiny 2 players by Eliksni Kell of Light Mithrax and it is what helps Guardians with accessing the Vex Network in Override missions. After the pricing scheme for Destiny: The Taken King was announced a few months ago, many fans were left confused or even off put at the steeper than normal price. Bungie has since been detailing the content players will be getting in this new expansion, and just recently, fans now have an idea at just how big this update will be. In an interview with IGN, Bungie’s community manager, Eric “Urk” Osborne, confirmed that Destiny: The Taken King contains at least double the content from previous expansion The Dark Below....
This past weekend saw the return of the highly-competitive mode since the release of Destiny: The Taken King. In a search for the most effective weapons in PvP, a Destiny player, who goes by SpiffyJr on Reddit, posted his list of the top 25 weapons used during his time Trials of Osiris. These are not official statistics from Bungie, but constructed from SpiffyJr’s own extensive playtime and observations. His percentages are based off number of kills that occurred with each weapon....
As we have mentioned before, the exotic weapon bundles may not be the best value for those players trying to spend their Silver Dust wisely, but they are available to those who simply want a specific weapon and ornament immediately. Where is Xur? This weekend, Destiny players can find Xur tucked in the hangar area, which is located in Tower South. After spawning into The Tower head to the right, go up the stairs to the right of the Cryptarch, follow the long hallway into the hangar, and Xur should be immediately to the right....
All told, The Dawning seems to be a success for Destiny, and very little complaints have been raised towards the event. That’s likely because it isn’t nearly as microtransaction-focused as the Festival of the Lost was, and because it offers a variety of activities to experience. It also doesn’t hurt that The Dawning comes at a time when players are in need of new content. But while most of Destiny is in the holiday spirit and the Tower is decorated all nice, Xur has no sense of holiday cheer, or at least he has no way to show it....
Alongside a substantial tease for the balance patch, this week Activision also had more to say about the release of Destiny 2, namely that the game is still on track for a release in 2017. The publisher also shared some of Bungie’s vision for the game, including a more cinematic story, a faster pipeline for content expansions, and the end goal of extending the Destiny brand beyond the game....
Some of those weapons were especially popular in the past, precisely because of some of their god rolls. Guns like the sniper rifle Tranquility, which could roll excellent combinations like Firing Line and Field Prep. These perks are unfortunately gone for good, meaning that all those god rolls players stored over time suddenly became worthless. Thanks to sunsetting, those guns cannot be infused and brought on par with the current Destiny 2 seasonal Power Level cap....
When Forsaken launches in early September, Destiny 2 players will be able to finally see what all of the excitement surrounding Gambit is about, at any time they like. But that wasn’t always the case. At one point during Gambit’s development, Bungie envisioned the mode as a Trials-like experience where players would need to enter as pre-made, 4-player fireteams. In an offhand Twitter interaction, Bungie Design Lead Lars Bakken shared a small detail from Gambit’s early days of development....
The Dreaming City is the endgame patrol zone that players will get to explore, and Bungie has confirmed that the area will not be accessible until after players beat the Forsaken story. The Dreaming City will be approximately the size of Nessus in terms of explorable area, and will feature new quests, public events, and a new activity. The raid in the Dreaming City, in an area called Keep of Voices, will also continue the story from the Forsaken campaign....
