Given what Bungie said in their Weekly Update on Thursday, it seems unlikely that the most common Golgoroth strategy – also known as the “single orb strat” – will be the key to completing the challenge. Some believe that the challenge might involve defeating Golgoroth in a certain number of orbs, while others think rotating gaze holders is the key. After all, the Warpriest Challenge was as simple as rotating aura holders during each DPS phase....

However, although Bungie was willing to show off a few of the new Taken King weapons, they did not reveal how Destiny players would procure them. Most assume that the general loot drops will be the same, but Bungie has yet to confirm such assumptions. What we do know is that players can unlock three new Destiny: The Taken King weapons if they pre-order the expansion at any retailer (not just GameStop like was previously rumored), as confirmed by Bungie earlier today....

Like Crota’s End, Vault of Glass, and King’s Fall before it, the Wrath of the Machine raid will incorporate new challenges for Age of Triumph, and will set the difficulty to 390 Light Level. Successful runs will give players a chance at the new Age of Triumph raid armor. There’s no word yet what the challenges will be for Wrath of the Machine, though Destiny players can expect similar additions and changes found in the game’s other three raids....

However, because the Eververse shop in Destiny 2 utilizes Silver, a special in-game currency, many of the items that players will likely want will cost them money. Some of the Bungie 30th Anniversary items are likely to be featured as part of Bright Dust sales as the season progresses, but for players that have been investing their Bright Dust rather than saving it the coming weeks could be a waiting game full of risk/reward chances....

Following a 2-hour maintenance on all platforms, Crown of Sorrow is due to go live at 4:00 PM PDT on June 4, six hours after the release of Season of Opulence. The new Raid takes players back to the Leviathan once again, this time facing off against the Hive after one of Calus’s Loyalists loses his mind to an Ascendant Hive relic in the ship’s underbelly. According to the new trailer, Calus has called upon the help of the Guardians after the Hive have infested the Leviathan....

Destiny 2: Forsaken’s pre-order package at Gamestop includes a pack of playing cards with the expansion’s main villains, The Barons, on them. However, since there are only 8 Barons, the card maker needed to fill out the rest of the cards with other notable characters, like Uldren, Cayde-6, and Petra Venj. And interestingly, the cards also include Mara Sov, the Awoken Queen. Now this is by no means a confirmation that Forsaken will feature an appearance by the Queen, but her inclusion does raise some eyebrows....

Many hardcore fans who played Year 1 likely went into Forsaken and Year 2 with a hefty collection of Mod Components after dismantling a collection of mods and/or irrelevant weapons and armor. But now that supply is running dry for many, and without any clear-cut way or direct path to get Mod Components in Destiny 2, players have begun finding ingenious farming methods within the game’s economy to find more Mod Components....

How to Invoke Breach Barrier Breach Barrier is the first upgrade available for Season 15’s Wayfarer’s Compass, and there are several locations where players can activate this buff while in the Shattered Realm. White ethereal artifacts are glowing that players can interact with, and when approaching them, the Invoke Barrier Breach interaction unlocks. Be mindful, though, because the buff lasts only for a handful of seconds, and it requires at least one Beacon aligned to be activated....

In many ways, Season of Arrivals and its gameplay loop are very similar to last season with its Seraph Towers, earning various currencies for upgrading Rasputin with the various bunkers, and using even more currency to unlock mods, perks, benefits, and have more control over loot drops. How to Unlock Glow on Solstice Armor In order to make the new Candescent set of armor from the Solstice event glow, Destiny 2 players will need to complete all the Solstice-related Triumphs in the event card, as each of them awards 1 Kindling. RELATED: Destiny 2 Showcase Announced for August 2022 A total of 6 Kindling is used to make a single armor piece glow, which is done by upgrading the Kindling slot on the armor three times: the first time for 1 Kindling, the second for 2, and the third for 3....

Guardians will want to complete the Expunge Labyrinth to keep up with more of Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer storyline. When the master difficulty arrives, it will start awarding Pinnacle Gear for Guardians. Until then, the Expunge Labyrinth will award high-stat rolled armor once per character, per week. However, Destiny 2’s meta is also very much relying on Bungie’s sandbox, which often changes when new content comes to the game to favor some gameplay elements over others and tone down what’s too hot at the moment or tweak what isn’t to make it better. That is exactly what is happening when the 30th Anniversary Pack releases for Destiny 2, as the new content will be accompanied by a rather big sandbox update where many items and abilities will be given another pass in order to rebalance everything accordingly....

Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost is all about fusion rifles and linear fusion rifles, thanks to the substantial buffs they got as weapon archetypes and the Particle Deconstruction mod for insane DPS. However, it makes only sense that this Season was when Telesto caused the most issues in the history of Destiny 2, starting from the very first weeks of the new Season when it generated infinite Orbs of Power if combined with Thermoclastic Blooming....

When Bungie revealed its fall expansion, Destiny: Rise of Iron, it was leaked that the infamous exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn would be making a comeback in Rise of Iron. Bungie looks to continue the theme with this new Sparrow, inspired with the same golden wings as the rocket launcher. The developer even put together this trailer to show it off: [HTML1] Back in June, a retailer listed the Gjallarwing Sparrow as a pre-order bonus for Rise of Iron....

Where is Xur? This weekend, Destiny players can find Xur in Tower North, right next to The Speaker. It’s only fitting that Xur set up shop next to The Speaker, since the character has been a major part of the Age of Triumph events promotion, and there is some speculation he may not return for Destiny 2. Any opportunity to stop by The Speaker is welcome – especially knowing that The Tower will soon be no more....
