Destiny 2 players who have not purchased Season of the Undying will progress along the free path of the season pass, while those who bought Season 8 (which many players probably did considering that it is included with the purchase of the Shadowkeep expansion) will travel along the premium path. Paying players will get both the free and premium rewards at each tier.
