During the Nightfall Strike, there’s a section where players must pass through a series of blue light pulses that are scattered around the Nexus in order to progress. On a regular Destiny 2 Strike, this should pose no problem, but players are finding that the task isn’t so easy when the diffiulty is turned up.

Just like we noted last week, there are still severe issues with the Prestige Nightfall Strike where the final area does not spawn pulses for the players to trigger. This bug is capable of rendering the Strike completely unfinishable, yet it’s still to be fixed by Bungie. Some players claim to have found a solution where killing a Dreg to the left of the final zone will cause the pulses to appear, but fans shouldn’t have to go out of their way to find a workaround solution for these issues.

Since Prestige difficulty is already tough enough on players, it’d certainly help if the mode wasn’t severely bugged, and we can only hope that Bungie working on a fix right at this moment. Recently, the developer quietly fixed the glitch that allowed players to move through walls by using the ‘Bureaucratic Walk’ emote, so it’s clear that it is playing close attention to the game’s fanbase.

Therefore, the only possible explanation we can see for the developer not fixing the Prestige Nightfall bug just yet is the issue being trickier to fix than a simple bit of code correction. It’s rare to encounter a AAA title that doesn’t have the occasional bug present, but there does seem to be a fair few more than usual cropping up in Destiny 2’s launch window.

In other Destiny 2 news, it’s almost time for the series’ first launch on PC, and those who have opted to wait for the console-exclusive to come to Battle.net are now just days away from joining the ranks of the Guardians online. Although the game is set to launch on October 24, fans won’t have to wait that long to begin pre-loading the title onto their hard drives.

Destiny 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version releases on October 24, 2017.
