First, Guardians will want to complete the full tier 3 cycle, defeating all of the ogres and picking up an item called an unstable charge. Once this item is obtained, drop back down into the well, and it’ll automatically trigger a heroic event or tier 4 blind well event. While this seems simple enough, the Destiny 2 bosses that spawn as a result are no laughing matter.
Once the event is live, two bosses will spawn on opposite sides of the room. Fireteams will want to coordinate, and the best strategy may be to focus fire on one boss at a time, though splitting into teams of three could work as well. The most important thing to note is that killing the Scorn spawns at its feet will drop its shield, so mow down those adds. This is the only way to drop the bosses’ shields.
Moreover, once its shields are down, killing the Scorn spawns will continue to do damage to the boss, so at least one or two Guardians need to be working crowd control. After defeating the two bosses, the reward for a tier 4 blind well is Powerful Gear (once per character). It’s worth mentioning that, because of the power level for the bosses, this is a good way to see if players are ready to take on Riven of a Thousand Voices.
If players can control the adds and hit these boss creatures with everything they have, including the newest supers, then the chances of being able to take Riven down are pretty good. The Powerful Gear earned as a reward should also help out, and even though this seems simple, Guardians need to come prepared for a fight.
